By now I am sure you have heard that Michelle Obama’s arms were developed by doing nine minutes of biceps and triceps. I wish I would have known that when I was going through graduate school! I had to compose all these balanced programs of upper, lower, power, flexibility, agility, and balance, when all I had to do was biceps and triceps! What a let down!
I’m sure, at least I hope, that her program was a little more comprehensive than that, but you know how the media can grab a little piece of info and blow it completely out of the water.
This is a good time for trainers to educate clients to the fact that there is no one or two exercises that can solve all you fitness woes, that is unless the exercises are an active life with intensity, similar to the old day farms. Train movement not muscle and your body will be functional.
